Health Considerations & Contraindications

Breathwork can be a powerful and intense practice, that can result in certain physiological changes in the body and physical and emotional release.

Please be aware that sessions can cause and are not limited to:

  • Tingling

  • Dizziness

  • Trembling, shaking or other physical sensations

  • Emotional experiences

  • Experience of energy moving through your body

For your safety and well-being, breathwork is not recommended if you are currently experiencing any of the following conditions, unless cleared by a qualified healthcare professional:

  • Pregnancy

  • High blood pressure (not managed by medication)

  • Uncontrolled thyroid conditions and diabetes.

  • Cardiovascular disease, history of heart attack or stroke

  • Diagnosis of aneurysm in the brain or abdomen.

  • Severe asthma

  • Epilepsy or history of seizures

  • Diagnosed bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other psychiatric conditions

  • Detached retina or glaucoma

  • Recent surgery or physical injuries (full healing required)

  • Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in any activities that involve intense physical and/or emotional release.

If you are unsure whether breathwork is suitable for you, it is essential that you consult your healthcare provider before participating.

Personal Responsibility & Informed Consent

By participating in a breathwork session, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • I am responsible for my own physical, emotional, and mental well-being during and after the session.

  • I will inform the facilitator of any medical conditions, mental health diagnoses, or medications I am taking prior to the session.

  • I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a healthcare professional if I have, or suspect I may have, a health condition that could be affected by breathwork.

I understand the potential risks involved and voluntarily choose to participate, and I agree to the health, safety, and liability terms above.
